What you'll do

• Assist experienced machinists with machining, fabrication, and repair
• prepare materials, tools, and equipment
• learn safe operation of lathes, mills, drill presses, and other shop equipment
• assist with measuring, inspecting, and documenting parts
• learn to read blueprints and work instructions
• assist with repair and refurbishment of rotating equipment components
• handle materials, organize tools, maintain the work area, and follow safety procedures
• participate in training and support production and repair schedules.
