Durable Medical Equipment Fitter / Orthopedic Technician Float

The Durable Medical Equipment Fitter / Orthopedic Technician Float role is onsite in North Easton, MA, and requires travel to all sites. Pay is $24–$30 per hour. The position supports University Orthopedics physicians and orthopedic patients. The technician assists with patient care and clinic flow by fitting and applying orthopedic equipment, supporting procedures, and educating patients. Accurate documentation and coordination with patients, families, and care staff help ensure equipment needs and related billing information are addressed.

What you'll do

• Assist physicians with patient care and office flow
• fit and apply braces, crutches, and other soft goods
• prepare and apply casts and orthopedic durable medical equipment
• change dressings and remove sutures, casts, and splints
• educate patients about insurance provisions and financial responsibility
• document care and complete DME billing paperwork
• assist with orthopedic procedures
• instruct patients in cast, traction, and equipment care
• maintain clean, stocked cast and exam rooms
• order supplies as needed.
