The Principal Investigator / Project Archaeologist role is primarily onsite in El Paso, TX, with compensation of $65,000–$80,000 per year. The role manages cultural resources projects from proposal development through completion, directing field investigations and crews, conducting archaeological research, and preparing technical reports. It contributes to project delivery by coordinating with clients and regulators and ensuring work follows applicable cultural resources requirements.

What you'll do

• Manage cultural resources project scope, schedule, budget, and quality
• plan and coordinate archaeological field projects
• direct field crews and guide methods and documentation
• conduct research, analysis, and Phase I, II, and III investigations
• assist with manual excavation when needed
• maintain project data and site forms
• prepare technical reports
• collaborate with field, office, management, and administrative staff
• support regulatory compliance.

Why this role
