Project Engineer, Commercial Landscape Construction

The Project Engineer role is onsite in Tacoma, WA, with compensation of $68,000–$90,000 per year. SS Landscaping Services is a commercial landscape construction and maintenance contractor serving the Puget Sound region; this position supports its Construction Division and Project Management team. The role supports projects from contract award through completion by coordinating administration, documentation, procurement, scheduling support, communication, and closeout. It helps Project Managers keep multiple construction projects organized, compliant, and moving toward successful completion.

What you'll do

• Review construction documents, scope, specifications, drawings, estimates, and contract requirements
• identify discrepancies and potential cost impacts
• prepare project startup and compliance documentation
• maintain insurance, bonds, deadlines, correspondence, and document control
• coordinate procurement, materials, deliveries, and supplier records
• prepare and track submittals and assist with RFIs
• support project managers with billing documentation and change-order opportunities
• assemble closeout materials and coordinate turnover
• assist with departmental procedures and safety documentation.
