What you'll do
- Serve as the facility’s Infection Preventionist and Wound Nurse
- monitor, investigate, prevent, and report infections
- maintain infection-control practices, surveillance, documentation, and reports
- provide staff orientation and ongoing education
- schedule in-service training and maintain training records
- assess and manage resident wounds according to orders and protocols
- document wound assessments and progress
- collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and interdisciplinary team members
- promote compliance with CDC, state, and federal guidance.
