The aide organizes and delivers meals, follows food safety and dietary requirements, maintains sanitary kitchen and service areas, and tracks food inventory and program documentation. These duties help ensure children receive safe meals in appropriate portions and according to their needs.

What you'll do

• Inspect food for quality, freshness, safety, and regulatory compliance
• organize meals according to approved menus and age-group portions
• deliver food to classrooms and monitor and document food and equipment temperatures
• follow allergy and special-diet records and prevent cross-contamination
• clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and meal service areas
• maintain labeled and dated food storage
• assist with inventory and food records
• prepare Child and Adult Care Food Program documentation
• receive purchases and rotate stock using FIFO
• manage kitchen supplies and equipment
• follow food safety and regulatory requirements
• attend required professional development.
