What you'll do

• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care
• assess patients, vital signs, pain, incision sites, and airway status
• coordinate care with surgical and health care team members
• verify procedure and patient identity
• support patient and family teaching
• maintain sterile technique and infection control
• coordinate equipment and supplies
• document nursing care and communicate concerns
• participate in quality improvement, staff orientation, and unit meetings.
