Product Engineer, Advanced Materials

Job overview

The Product Engineer role is onsite in Saco, Maine; compensation is not specified. The position is part of the Advanced Materials group within the Research and Technology team and supports development of carbon and ceramic composite materials and structures. The engineer contributes across the development cycle, from research and process development through prototyping, testing, and production support. The work advances material and manufacturing readiness through experiments, manufacturing methods, tooling, documentation, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

What you'll do

• Develop manufacturing methods for high-temperature thermal protection materials
• help engineering teams resolve processing and procedural issues
• create component fixtures and tooling solutions
• develop and sustain policies, standards, and procedures
• document work for component traceability
• contribute to design reviews and technical reports
• coordinate with management, production, facilities, and EHS
• follow safety procedures and quality standards.
