What you'll do

• Use electronic locating equipment and utility maps to find and mark buried fiber and other utilities
• document and photograph locates
• investigate damage
• verify fiber is locatable after installations and trouble locates
• respond to excavation notices during normal and after-hours periods
• communicate with excavators, utility representatives, and company personnel
• assist with difficult locates, damage resolution, route maintenance, and repairs
• and support other locators across the state. Work outdoors in all weather, including some weekends, nights, and overnight travel as needed
• respond to emergency calls between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
