General Manager

Job overview

The General Manager role is onsite in Houston, TX. Base salary is $150,000–$200,000 per year. The manager will build and lead a new service and staging facility for an established global industrial gear, mechanical engineering, and turbomachinery business. The role is accountable for the facility’s operational and financial performance, strategic growth, customer acquisition, and local team development. It establishes the processes and customer relationships needed to expand the company’s service footprint and presence in the U.S. market.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage budgets, capital plans, operating costs, and P&L performance
• establish and operate a new staging and service facility
• grow customer relationships and expand into refinery, compressor, power generation, and turbomachinery markets
• recruit and develop the local team
• oversee procurement, inventory, and vendors
• support ERP implementation for shop-floor tracking and receiving
• ensure operational, mechanical, safety, and regulatory standards
• coordinate with customers, global product experts, and parent companies.
