The Construction Cost & Claims Consultant role is hybrid in Denver, CO, combining office, remote, and fieldwork in the Denver metropolitan area. The salary is $85,000–$125,000 annually, plus a performance-based bonus opportunity. The role supports a growing forensic engineering and construction consulting firm’s work on construction disputes, property-loss claims, and construction-defect litigation. The consultant inspects sites, evaluates repair scopes, prepares cost estimates, reviews project records and contractor pricing, and assists with expert reports and exhibits. These analyses help clients and senior technical professionals assess construction costs and claims with organized, well-supported documentation.

What you'll do

• Conduct site inspections
• review construction drawings, specifications, reports, repair recommendations, and scopes of work
• prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• evaluate repair costs across building and site systems
• use Xactimate, RSMeans, subcontractor pricing, and supplier quotations
• review bids, proposals, invoices, change orders, and payment applications
• identify discrepancies
• analyze contracts and correspondence
• prepare cost-comparison spreadsheets and exhibits
• assist with expert reports, rebuttal reports, and claim evaluations
• maintain project files and collaborate with senior consultants.
