Certified Hemodialysis Technician

The Certified Hemodialysis Technician role is onsite in Valencia, CA. Pay is $25–$42 per hour. The technician works under the direction and supervision of a dialysis nurse to assist with care and treatment activities for patients with renal failure. The role supports safe, consistent dialysis care by preparing and monitoring equipment and patients, documenting treatment, and reporting changes or equipment issues to the appropriate clinical staff. It also contributes to clean, organized treatment stations and facility operations.

What you'll do

• Assist with clinical and operational procedures
• obtain and process blood samples as ordered
• provide patient education within scope under clinical direction
• set up hemodialysis machines and respond to alarms
• clean stations after treatments
• obtain pre- and post-treatment weights
• initiate and terminate treatments as permitted
• monitor patients and document observations
• assist with patient entry and exit
• prepare dialysis solutions
• maintain supplies and common areas
• conduct water testing and quality-control logs
• report patient changes to the Dialysis Nurse and machine problems to the Biomedical Technician and Facility Administrator.
