What you'll do

• Escort patients to exam rooms
• interview patients and record vital signs
• explain procedures and prepare patients for examinations
• assist physicians during exams
• collect and prepare specimens and perform basic laboratory tests
• prepare and administer medications as directed
• collect blood, remove sutures, and change dressings
• maintain supplies, instruments, logs, and required checks
• process messages
• coordinate care and protect patient privacy.
