Research and Development Technician III

Job overview

The Research and Development Technician III role is onsite in Osseo, MN. Compensation is $35–$40 per hour. The position works independently to assist research and development engineers, scientists, and teams in developing and analyzing products, materials, processes, or equipment. The technician helps turn concepts into prototypes and supports their construction and testing according to engineering instructions. The role contributes to design and process development, project specifications, and quality standards while communicating progress to project teams.

What you'll do

• Develop concepts and construct prototypes or products
• document prototypes and fixtures using basic mechanical drawing or CAD software
• propose reasoned solutions and contribute to design and process concepts
• organize and execute prototype building and testing per engineering instructions
• assist teams in establishing specifications and quality standards
• help identify and obtain supplies and services
• communicate project status
• maintain compliance with quality requirements.
