What you'll do

• Assess patients’ strengths and needs and develop effective speech therapy treatment plans
• provide care based on physician care plans, agency policy, and professional standards
• instruct family members, home health aides, and other caregivers in speech therapy techniques and home exercise programs. The mixed caseload includes adults and children with aphasia, dysphagia, traumatic brain injury, voice and cognitive communication disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication needs. New York licensure or eligibility and live-course First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications are required.
