Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer role is onsite in Niskayuna, NY, with up to 20% telework and a full-time, 40-hour workweek. Pay is $55–$62 per hour. The engineer joins a project team supporting building and utility construction projects at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory. The role supports projects from scope definition through design and construction by developing technical documents, reviewing designs, and providing field engineering support. Coordination with project sponsors, facility staff, design firms, and contractors helps ensure electrical work is specified, reviewed, and delivered effectively.

What you'll do

• Develop project scope with project sponsors
• prepare specifications, calculations, and cost estimates for building and utility projects
• oversee architectural engineering firms developing concept designs and construction documents
• review electrical construction drawings and designs
• provide construction support through submittal reviews, RFI responses, and inspections
• coordinate with facility staff and contractors.
