Senior Photonics Module Test Engineer

The Senior Photonics Module Test Engineer role is onsite in San Diego, CA. The expected annual salary range is $125,000–$175,000. The engineer joins Monarch Quantum’s Quantum Photonics Module team and supports product development and production readiness. The role owns characterization, qualification, and reliability testing of photonic components and modules. It produces lab-quality measurements and analysis that inform design decisions across EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.

What you'll do

• Design and operate test setups for photonic components and modules
• measure optical and beam parameters
• plan and conduct DOE experiments
• document results and prepare engineering reports
• perform reliability testing and trend data
• support failure analysis
• develop test plans and acceptance criteria
• execute qualification protocols
• author sign-off documentation
• build automated test sequences using Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
