Security Specialist

Job overview

The Security Specialist role is onsite in Denver, CO; pay is $22.50 per hour. The Denver Center for the Performing Arts presents and produces live theatre and engages visitors through performance and education programs. The specialist protects DCPA facilities, employees, visitors, and patrons by patrolling, screening visitors, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents. The role supports safe performances and events across the organization’s facilities.

What you'll do

• Patrol buildings and grounds
• screen visitors and manage entry and crowds
• operate weapons-screening equipment and conduct bag checks
• document incidents
• assist with emergency preparedness and response
• contact emergency agencies when needed
• enforce policies
• provide safety escorts
• manage lost and found
• monitor CCTV
• and respond to non-emergency requests.

Why this role

Must be able to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays; may be on call after regular business hours. A Denver Security Guard License and CPR/First Aid certification are required.
