Structural Steel Shop Foreman

Job overview

The Structural Steel Shop Foreman role is onsite in Riverside, CA. Pay is $35–$40 per hour, DOE. Paradigm Ironworks fabricates structural steel, stairs, railings, architectural metalwork, and specialty steel projects for commercial construction in Southern California. This hands-on leadership role coordinates shop production and keeps fabrication work organized, safe, and on schedule. The foreman works alongside the crew as needed while planning priorities, monitoring quality, and developing welders, fitters, and apprentices.

What you'll do

• Lead and coordinate daily shop production
• plan work and communicate priorities
• read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
• perform layout, fitting, welding, and fabrication when required
• assign work based on skills and project priorities
• track progress and report status
• coordinate with operations, project management, purchasing, and quality control
• maintain shop organization
• monitor workmanship
• train and mentor staff
• enforce safe work practices.
