Food Service Worker

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve food
• assemble patient trays from meal tickets and load delivery carts
• transport food and supplies to patient units and clinics
• set up meal service stations
• identify apparent diet/menu discrepancies
• clean and sanitize work areas and dishes
• operate and clean the mechanical dishwasher
• follow infection-control and food-safety procedures
• report faulty equipment
• label, date, store, and rotate food
• remove trash
• may unload food deliveries.
