Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The Direct Support Professional position is in person in East Brunswick, NJ, with pay of $23 per hour. MMD Community Care provides community support, respite, and individual support to adults with disabilities across New Jersey. The DSP provides one-to-one assistance that helps consumers build independence, participate in daily life, and increase social inclusion in line with their service plans. The role supports personal care, household and community living skills, health and safety, relationships, and individual choices.

What you'll do

• Assist with community living skills, meals, household tasks, personal care, and appointments
• plan and participate in chosen recreational activities
• administer medication according to procedures when applicable
• support relationships and social activities
• assist with budgeting and personal health and safety
• maintain confidentiality
• and transport participants as required.
