Hardware Assembly Technician

The Hardware Assembly Technician role is onsite at Eyebot’s Charlestown production floor in Boston, MA. Compensation is $27–$30 per hour based on experience. Eyebot builds self-guided vision test kiosks that are reviewed by licensed eye doctors. The technician assembles, calibrates, tests, and prepares kiosks for shipment. This work turns component parts into finished devices and supports the company’s production process and delivery of vision-testing kiosks.

What you'll do

• Move kiosks between receiving, build, calibration, and shipping using a manual pallet jack
• fasten steel panels, doors, and brackets to specifications
• mount circuit boards, computers, routers, and power supplies
• route and connect cables and handle boards at an ESD station
• build optical subassemblies
• calibrate and function-test finished kiosks using test software
• take the vision test as part of kiosk testing
• inspect assemblies and flag issues to the line supervisor
• keep the station and floor clean and organized.

Why this role

Monday–Friday, eight-hour days, with a fixed flexible start time between 6 and 11 a.m.; no nights or weekends. Full-time W-2 role with training, medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, parental leave, commuter benefit, catered lunches, and wellness stipend.
