Licensed Fire Alarm Installation Technician

The Licensed Fire Alarm Installation Technician role is onsite in Trenton, NJ, with extensive travel to commercial and retail locations. Compensation is $22–$50 per hour. Wachter designs, installs, and maintains technologies that support commercial and industrial clients. The technician installs, troubleshoots, tests, and maintains fire alarm systems and related low-voltage cabling. The role supports safe, compliant system operation through accurate work records, adherence to NFPA standards, and coordination with project teams.

What you'll do

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems
• run low-voltage cabling and perform limited conduit work
• install cable supports
• test cable systems and component devices
• troubleshoot cable networks and fire alarm panels
• comply with NFPA 70 and 72
• collaborate on design and planning
• maintain work records and follow project safety requirements.
