What you'll do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications
• measure and prepare ingredients
• follow food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures
• assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing inventory
• coordinate with kitchen staff
• set up and stock workstations
• operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
• prepare and execute service on at least two stations without management supervision
• monitor cooking times and temperatures
• plate and garnish dishes
• maintain menu knowledge
• assist with dishwashing and cleaning
• support training of junior staff as needed
• delegate station needs to junior kitchen staff
• complete nightly station inventory and closing checklist.
