The Infant and Toddler Teacher role is onsite in Virginia Beach, VA. Pay is $14–$18.50 per hour. The teacher supports Brilliant Beginnings Learning Center’s Christian-based learning environment for children from six weeks to 12 years old. The role develops age-appropriate learning experiences that foster children’s academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. It also supports a safe, nurturing classroom through family communication, supervision, documentation, and collaboration with classroom staff.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement curriculum responsive to each child’s needs and abilities
• create individual and group learning activities
• model teaching practices and mentor assistant teachers
• communicate with families through daily updates, progress reports, and conferences
• comply with center policies, licensing, health, and safety standards
• supervise children and maintain a clean, safe environment
• guide classroom assistants and volunteers
• maintain attendance, incident, assessment, and lesson-plan records
• participate in training and maintain a professional development plan.
