The Kitchen Aide (Substitute) role is onsite at the Waterville and Skowhegan locations in Maine. Compensation is $15.10 per hour. Kennebec Valley Community Action Program seeks to strengthen individuals, families, and communities through direct services and community collaborations addressing poverty. The substitute assists the cook with meal preparation and kitchen operations, including meals for children. The role supports safe, compliant food service and timely delivery of meals and supplies.

What you'll do

• Assist with food preparation for meals, meetings, and catering
• follow standardized recipes for children’s meals
• ensure meal quantities and components meet CACFP requirements
• transport food and dishes
• follow kitchen safety and sanitation standards
• use equipment safely and report issues
• assist with food and supply orders
• support interdisciplinary collaboration.
