Ophthalmic Technician

Job overview

The Ophthalmic Technician role is onsite in Norfolk, VA, with travel to Hampton, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach; mileage is paid. Starting pay is $18–$21 per hour, depending on experience. What you'll do

• Provide patient service
• verify patient information and record medical history, medications, and visit purpose
• enter data in the electronic medical record
• assess eye condition and perform dilation, refraction, pressure checks, and diagnostic tests
• document visits and procedures
• prepare patients and rooms
• maintain supplies and drug counts
• perform assigned office duties.
