The Assistant Business Manager — Affordable Housing role is onsite in the East Metro area of Minnesota, with a full-time schedule typically Monday through Friday. Base salary is $55,000–$65,000 per year, plus quarterly bonus potential. SAIL manages affordable communities and describes its standard as “Legendary Service. Operational Excellence.” The role supports day-to-day operations, compliance paperwork, and resident service across SAIL’s affordable portfolio. It helps keep resident files and ledgers accurate, applications and waitlists orderly, and community operations on schedule while escalating decisions to the Affordable Business Manager.

What you'll do

• Assist residents in person, by phone, and by email
• log interactions
• prepare certification and recertification packets
• collect income and asset documentation
• maintain audit-ready files
• support file reviews
• respond to leasing inquiries, conduct tours, process applications, and maintain the waitlist
• post payments, maintain ledgers, prepare delinquency notices, and document contacts
• enter and route work orders, schedule vendors under the Business Manager’s direction, prepare for inspections, and escalate file, resident, program, and capacity issues.
