What you'll do

• Record medical histories, vital statistics, and test results
• prepare and clean examination rooms
• interview patients and measure vital signs, weight, and height
• authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
• clean and sterilize instruments
• prepare and administer medications as directed
• prepare patients for examinations
• explain treatment procedures and instructions
• assist physicians with examinations and treatment
• collect, log, and prepare specimens for testing.
