Hunger Prevention Specialist

The Hunger Prevention Specialist role is onsite in Boston, MA, at the Greater Boston Collaborative Food Access Hub. Compensation is $16–$20 per hour. The role supports the Hub’s food packing and delivery operations. The specialist prepares and packs grocery bags, maintains the packing area and food supplies, and assists with loading and deliveries so food can be prepared for distribution.

What you'll do

• Set up and stock the packing line
• pack grocery bags
• identify unfit produce for compost
• replenish food
• stack pallets
• break down and recycle cardboard
• move packed bags to carts or pallets
• assist drivers with loading and deliveries as needed
• complete required YMCA and food-safety training
• clean and reset the packing area after packing.
