Job overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) role is onsite in Wyoming County, NY, with pay of $43–$45 per hour. Houghton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center provides nursing care to residents in a rehabilitation and nursing center. The RN oversees nursing care delivery and staff performance on assigned units, addressing care issues and coordinating services to support continuity and quality. What you'll do
- Monitor daily nursing care delivery and staff performance
- conduct shift staff meetings
- identify care-delivery problems and implement corrective action
- report and make recommendations to the Director of Nursing
- coordinate nursing services with other resident services
- investigate accidents
- develop work assignments and delegate responsibilities
- make unit rounds
- follow up on complaints and grievances
- ensure staffing, emergency equipment checks, safe environments, and confidentiality
- provide direct nursing care as necessary
- start or restart IVs when ordered and necessary
- monitor medication passes, treatments, and medication administration records
- participate in quality improvement, infection control, safety, and staff training activities.
