What you'll do

• Work with automation engineers and technicians to interpret designs and build custom automation equipment
• review SolidWorks models, drawings, sketches, and specifications
• organize project materials
• calculate dimensions and determine assembly methods
• verify dimensions, alignments, clearances, and conformance
• fit and assemble components
• wire and plumb machines with guidance
• set up and troubleshoot basic automation electronics such as sensors and VFDs
• use machine tools and welding equipment as needed
• attend training to expand programming and maintenance knowledge.
