What you'll do

• Provide appropriate patient care
• assist nursing staff with admissions, discharges, transfers, and daily care
• obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake and output, and assist with specimen collection
• report patient-condition changes to a registered nurse or charge nurse
• assist with pre- and post-operative care and mobility
• provide comfort measures
• follow infection-prevention and safety policies
• communicate with patients, families, and team members
• maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean work environment
• participate in training and quality-improvement activities.
