This role exists to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring their physical and psychological needs are met according to their care plan.

What you'll do

• Serve as caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long term care.
• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Deliver age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs.
• Follow infection prevention and control policies.
• Provide assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking.
• Provide range of motion and passive exercises.
• Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining.
• Assist residents with meals and snacks.
• Aid providers and nursing staff with procedures.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Communicate resident's changing condition to charge nurse.
• Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services.
• Provide assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs.

What we're looking for

Education

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Experience

Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
