Metal Technician – Auto Body Collision Repair

What you'll do

• Repair damaged vehicles using technical information sheets and repair orders
• make repair-or-replace decisions based on safety, cost, and cycle time
• remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window equipment, and trim as needed
• perform structural or replacement repairs, airbag replacement, and some mechanical work
• weld and finish sheet metal
• file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces
• communicate repair status with production managers and estimators
• follow safety, hazardous-waste, and quality-control procedures
• maintain an organized work area and attend daily release meetings.

Why this role
