Job overview

The Director of Utility Programs role is onsite in Phoenix, AZ, with compensation of $175,000–$200,000 per year. The role coordinates utility service delivery across Arizona projects, working with utility providers, clients, engineers, and construction teams. The director takes ownership of utility coordination from early site planning through service activation, identifying constraints and securing provider commitments. By aligning approvals, equipment, installation, and activation with construction schedules, the role helps prevent utility-related delays to project completion.

What you'll do

  • Engage utility providers during site selection and early development to confirm capacity, infrastructure needs, queue position, and service dates
  • coordinate engineering reviews, approvals, equipment orders, installations, and activation with APS, SRP, Southwest Gas, and telecom or fiber providers
  • manage utility applications, capacity requests, easements, service agreements, and equipment requirements
  • track temporary and permanent power, gas, and telecom service
  • integrate utility milestones into construction schedules
  • coordinate with clients, project teams, and designers
  • maintain portfolio-wide utility readiness and risk tracking
  • provide status updates to regional executive leadership.
