The Health Information Management (HIM) Outpatient Coder is a remote position for residents of DC, MD, PA, VA, or WV, with a pay range of $22.22 to $36.57 per hour. This role supports the LifeBridge Health, Inc. team in ensuring accurate medical coding. The role exists to review, code, and abstract outpatient medical records to support accurate reimbursement and quality reporting. The Coder contributes to the team by maintaining compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory standards.
What you'll do
- Review outpatient medical records.
- Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes.
- Code and abstract diverse outpatient encounters.
- Assist with emergency department coding and infusion cases.
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
