BMR Yard/Preventive Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The BMR Yard/Preventive Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Gallup, NM; pay is $16 per hour. The position supports Big Mike’s Rental Sales & Services by maintaining equipment and organizing the rental yard to help prevent downtime. The technician inspects, maintains, and prepares rental equipment so it is clean, safe, and operational. The role also keeps the yard orderly, reports equipment and property hazards, and may provide local equipment delivery and pickup when needed.

What you'll do

• Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and minor adjustments
• inspect equipment and report damage or hazards
• load, unload, secure, and prepare rental equipment
• maintain yard safety and organization
• inspect gates, fences, access points, and lighting
• maintain grounds
• remove trash, snow, and ice as needed
• occasionally deliver and pick up equipment locally.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with rotational Saturdays, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Class C driver’s license, and 1–2 years of preventive-maintenance experience.
