What you'll do

• Set up and operate horizontal lathes
• inspect and load tooling
• determine work holding when not specified
• touch off tooling and set work offsets
• run parts and make adjustments
• understand and adjust feeds and speeds
• perform basic program edits
• read blueprints
• use inspection equipment
• monitor coolant and machining fluid levels
• perform quality inspections and secondary operations such as deburring.
