Compensation is $70,000–$80,000 per year. The Senior Data Engineer (Contract) - Data Quality & Systems Forensics is an onsite role based in Seattle, WA. This role exists to investigate and remediate complex data quality issues across a hybrid environment. The engineer will trace data discrepancies, audit existing SQL processes, and implement automated reconciliation controls to ensure long-term data integrity and system performance.

What you'll do

• Investigate and root-cause data discrepancies
• trace data end-to-end
• own a prioritized backlog of data quality issues
• audit SQL jobs and ETL processes
• eliminate hardcoded business rules
• recover and backfill historical data
• improve master-data mappings
• build automated reconciliation and alerting
• document data lineage and system dependencies.
