Project Manager, Custom Automation

The Project Manager, Custom Automation role is onsite in Holland, MI. Pay is $80,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience. Mission Design & Automation builds custom automation systems to address manufacturing challenges. The project manager leads customer projects from kickoff through completion, coordinating people, schedules, budgets, requirements, and communication. The role keeps internal teams and customers aligned and helps deliver projects to agreed expectations.

What you'll do

• Serve as primary contact between customers and internal project teams
• lead kickoffs, scope and engineering changes, scheduling, budget management, issue tracking, and risk analysis
• coordinate engineering, design, controls, fabrication, and assembly
• monitor schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables
• communicate status and escalate concerns
• support business development with project expertise
• maintain stakeholder relationships and drive assigned projects to completion.

Why this role

Requires a technical bachelor’s degree and/or automation project management experience, 5+ years in the automation industry, and 3+ years in project management. Some domestic and occasional international travel may be required for installations and support. Standard shop hours are 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
