The Direct Support Professional — Day Program role is onsite in Lehighton, PA, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Compensation is $17 per hour. Access Services supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building skills, wellbeing, personal growth, and community participation. The professional provides individualized or small-group support, implements individual and nursing care plans as applicable, and assists with daily living activities. The role promotes independence and community inclusion while maintaining accurate records and communicating with individuals, families, coworkers, and supervisors.
What you'll do
- Implement individual support and applicable nursing care plans and behavioral support plans
- assist with personal care, meals, housekeeping, and medication administration as trained
- promote independence, learning, leisure, and volunteer activities
- support community inclusion
- transport individuals when assigned
- maintain a safe environment
- document progress, incidents, and observations
- communicate with families, coworkers, and supervisors.
