Group Exercise Instructor

Job overview

The Group Exercise Instructor role is onsite in Greensboro, NC, paying $20–$25 per hour. The instructor leads group fitness classes for Gold’s Gym members. The role exists to guide members through planned exercise formats that build overall fitness, strength, and endurance while maintaining participant safety. The instructor also educates members about fitness, adapts routines for different fitness levels, and supports a positive class experience.

What you'll do

• Prepare for class and interact with members
• introduce the class format
• assess first-time participants’ fitness levels as appropriate
• give clear instructions and monitor form
• offer routine variations for different fitness levels
• maintain a motivating class environment
• restore the room and equipment after class
• answer questions and solicit feedback
• prepare appropriate music
• report incidents when needed
• maintain dependable class schedules and arrange an approved substitute if unable to teach
• attend required staff meetings
• follow time-recording procedures.
