The Caregiver role is onsite in client residences in Pompano Beach, FL. Compensation is $15 per hour. Assisting Hands provides custodial and personal care services under the direction of a Staffing Coordinator and in accordance with each client’s Plan of Care. The caregiver helps clients maintain a clean, safe home environment and supports personal care, nutrition, mobility, and daily routines. The role also includes observing and reporting changes in client condition and documenting care activities.

What you'll do

• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy client environment
• assist with personal hygiene, ambulation, exercise, eating, dressing, shaving, and transfers as specified in the Plan of Care
• provide nutritional support
• report changes in client condition
• assist with approved daily-living devices and prescribed range-of-motion exercises
• measure and record specified vital signs and fluids
• keep records of care activities
• provide limited assistance with client self-administration of medication as described in the posting
• follow infection-control and agency policies.

Why this role

Hours depend on assignment; shifts are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, based on availability, and hours are not guaranteed. A high school diploma or GED is required; one year of home or long-term-care experience is preferred.
