What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes
• review resident census and production information to determine quantities. Follow safe food-handling requirements, assist with food ordering and storage as assigned, prepare modified-consistency and diet foods, and support special-function meals. Monitor and record food temperatures, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and meet meal schedules.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Two years of large-scale cooking experience and five years of long-term-care experience preferred. The cook is accountable for the Dietary Aide in the Dietary Manager’s absence.
