What you'll do

• Interview patients and relatives for admission and financial information
• verify insurance benefits and eligibility
• complete registration and maintain accurate census and records
• explain estimated financial responsibilities and payment options
• collect applicable out-of-pocket amounts
• document collection efforts
• monitor denials and eligible days
• process adjustment and refund requests for approval
• coordinate with Assessment and Referral, Case Management, and the Centralized Business Office
• comply with collection laws and HIPAA confidentiality standards.
