The Controller — Design and Architecture Industry role is onsite in downtown Nashville, TN. Compensation is $110,000–$130,000 per year, plus a benefits package. The role supports a growing design firm and works closely with the CFO and leadership team. The controller owns the finance function, providing reliable reporting, analysis, and oversight to support executive planning and protect profitability. The role also leads accounting process improvements, staff development, and the firm’s QuickBooks Online integration with its custom database.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and cash reports
• provide financial modeling and analysis
• monitor operational performance and recommend corrective action
• ensure accounting and reporting compliance
• oversee bills, payroll, project expenses, AP/AR, and billing schedules
• review payroll
• manage banking relationships
• lead QuickBooks Online integration with the custom database
• mentor accounting and finance staff
• partner with executives and directors on resource allocation and process improvements.
