Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician works onsite across Hope the Mission program sites in Los Angeles, California. Compensation is $24–$28 per hour. Hope the Mission works to prevent, reduce, and eliminate poverty, hunger, and homelessness through immediate assistance and long-term solutions. The role keeps program facilities functional and safe by completing work orders, routine repairs, and preventive maintenance. The technician documents work, identifies hazards, and escalates repairs requiring licensed specialty trades so sites can continue serving participants.

What you'll do

• Complete and document assigned work orders
• perform routine plumbing, electrical, structural, painting, door, window, and carpentry repairs
• troubleshoot cameras, fire alarms, and Wi-Fi
• complete preventive maintenance
• identify hazards and escalate work outside scope
• manage tools, vehicle readiness, and supply needs
• follow safety and site conduct requirements.
