Unit Clerk / Clinical Assistant

The Unit Clerk / Clinical Assistant role is onsite in Cherokee, OK, with pay of $14–$16 per hour; remote work may be possible at the supervisor’s discretion and under health-center policies. Great Salt Plains Health Center’s interdisciplinary medical team supports safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. The role coordinates clerical, telephone, patient-flow, and clinical support so patients and care teams can communicate effectively. When providing clinical-assistant coverage, it also supports visit preparation, basic measurements, and clinic procedures under direction.

What you'll do

• Screen, route, and document calls and patient communications
• manage documents and records
• coordinate information among patients, front desk staff, nurses, providers, and other facilities
• follow confidentiality and infection-control procedures
• when covering as a clinical assistant, prepare and room patients, obtain routine vital signs, assist with visits and procedures, document care, and schedule follow-ups as directed
• work at satellite sites as needed.
