Lead Preschool Teacher

The Lead Preschool Teacher role is onsite in Detroit, MI. Pay is $15–$17.50 per hour. The role supports preschool-aged children’s learning and development at Kindergarten Round-Up Childcare. The teacher leads a safe, structured, and engaging classroom, plans age-appropriate learning activities, and supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Communication with families and collaboration with staff help maintain consistent care and learning routines.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a preschool classroom
• create and follow age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
• teach early literacy, math, language, science, and other concepts through hands-on activities and play
• support children’s development
• maintain classroom schedules and routines
• use positive guidance
• observe development and monitor milestones
• communicate with parents
• collaborate with staff
• actively supervise children
• follow health, safety, sanitation, and licensing requirements
• assist with daily routines
• maintain classroom organization
• complete documentation and attend meetings and trainings.
